SENSAPEX in-vivo system for NEUROPIXEL recordings – 1 micromanipulator

The SENSAPEX in-vivo system is designed for reliable, reproducible Neuropixel recordings with proven stability. It allows easy and accurate probe positioning, with smooth automated insertion at adjustable speeds down to 1 µm/s, minimising tissue damage.

The system supports angles ranging from vertical to near-horizontal with brain-centred rotation. Probes can be quickly exchanged without risk of breakage, and angles can be easily adjusted using easy-to-read scales. Automated control is simplified via a Python interface and a Pinpoint-compatible SDK.

The complete setup includes a micromanipulator, several supports and modular arms, and a touch-screen controller for ergonomic and precise handling.

  • 1 uMp-RNG ring bracket (90°) to mount the arm on the table
  • 1 uMp-ARM arm to hold the micromanipulator at an adjustable angle
  • 1 uMp-RHL rod holder
  • 1 uMp-NPR200 rod
  • 1 uMp-NPH Neuropixel or uMp-NPH-2 Neuropixel 2.0 stand
  • 1 uMp-TSC touch screen controller
  • 1 uMp-RW3 remote interface with rotating wheels (3 axes)
