FuraLED LED Fluorescent Illuminators – Cairn Research

Cairn Research’s FuraLED light source is designed for calcium ratiometric imaging with Fura-2 and Fura-8 dyes.
It incorporates selected LEDs, precise intensity control and dedicated optics to ensure an excellent signal-to-noise ratio.
Compatible with standard fluorescence microscopes, it allows rapid calcium imaging capabilities to be added to existing installations.

Characteristics of the FuraLED – Cairn Research

  • Full ratiometric excitation 340 nm / 380 nm (Fura-2) or 365 nm / 405 nm (Fura-8)
  • Compatible with Plan Apo objectives (thanks to the red-shifted Fura-8)
  • Digital or analogue switching down to sub-microseconds
  • Pass-through port for additional fibre-optic or LED light source
  • Can be coupled with Cairn MultiStream for maximum-frequency imaging
