SENSAPEX in-vivo system for NEUROPIXEL recordings – 4 micromanipulators
The SENSAPEX in-vivo system for four micromanipulators enables reliable and reproducible Neuropixel recordings with proven stability. It ensures precise and repeatable probe positioning, with automated fluid insertion at up to 1 µm/s to protect tissue.
The system handles angles ranging from vertical to near-horizontal with brain-centred rotation, and allows rapid exchange of probes without risk of breakage. The angles can be adjusted using easy-to-read scales. Automated control is facilitated by a Pinpoint-compatible Python and SDK interface, with a central hub to drive the four micromanipulators simultaneously.
The complete set-up includes four micromanipulators, supports and modular arms, a touch controller and a remote interface for ergonomic and precise control.
