TRIO MPC-165 multi-handling system – narrow format

Sutter Instrument’s TRIO MPC-165 is designed for tissue slice patch experiments, optimising bench space with its narrow MP-865 micromanipulators. Each MP-865 offers three independent axes (X: 50 mm, Y: 12.5 mm, Z: 25 mm) with a 4ᵉ virtual diagonal axis tiltable from 0 to 90° via the ROE. The MPC-100 controller provides smooth, intuitive control thanks to its logarithmic acceleration algorithm and rotating optical encoder (ROE). The main functions (WORK, HOME, LOCK, PULSE, RELATIVE, SPEED, ANGLE) are easily accessed via buttons, while DIP switches allow the direction of movement and angle of the 4ᵉ axis to be configured. The system ensures high mechanical stability, minimal drift and quiet operation, ideal for in vitro and in vivo electrophysiological recordings. The MP-865 is particularly suited to configurations with limited space or requiring multiple pipettes, with the option of adding linear slides or a rotating base to facilitate pipette exchanges.
