Nikon FN1 microscope
The NIKON Eclipse FN1 microscope is designed for electrophysiology with dedicated optical systems and optimised ergonomics. It features a 2-position sliding objective holder with 15 mm retraction to protect the specimen and 1 mm fine adjustment for precise immersion. Its range of water-based objectives and the CFI Apochromat NIR 40x and 60x models enable in-depth observation, with the option of adjusting parfocality. Users can quickly switch between visible IR, DIC and oblique illumination modes. Ergonomics are enhanced by front-accessible controls, an ‘i’-shaped stand with more space around the stage, a lowered observation point and options such as remote illumination and spacers. The FN1 reduces mechanical and electrical noise thanks to its remote power supply and optimised structure, and incorporates a rotating, removable waterproof condenser equipped with an overflow protection system. It can be extended to confocal microscopy.
