Evident-Olympus BX51WIF microscope

Upright microscope with fixed stage designed for electrophysiology, incorporating specific systems to minimise vibration. The fixed stage allows changes in magnification without vibration or clicking, thanks to the combination of a 20X/1.0 water immersion objective, a WI-DPTM 4X magnification module (0.25X or 0.35X) and a horizontally sliding fluorescence shutter. The click-stop of the 6-position fluorescence turret can be adjusted or released, as can the click-top for observation/camera switching. The focusing wheels are positioned on the front of the microscope for easy access. Several objective turret options are available: a slide-and-tilt turret to avoid trapping air bubbles, a slim and compact WI-SRE3 turret with vibration-free positioning thanks to a brace spring, a U-SLRE turret suitable for large-diameter fluorescence objectives, and a WI-SNPXLU2 turret designed for the XLUMPLFLN20XW water objective. The system incorporates IR-DIC components for high-resolution visible light observations, 775 nm IR-DIC for tissue slices with an IR camera, and 900 nm Nomarski DIC with Senarmont compensation. The WI-DPMC module with dual video ports and dichroic filters allows vibration-free switching between fluorescence and IR-DIC. The WI-OBCD oblique condenser allows shadow angles to be changed through 360° without moving the sample. Plunging objectives offer large working distances for electrophysiological measurements, including XLUMPLFLN20XW for membrane electrical potential and XLFLUOR4X/340 for tissue measurements. The microscope also includes special features such as lockable coarse focus, magnetic sealing foil to protect components, fanless remote TH4 power supply and left/right-handed compatibility via the IX-SVL2 stage.
