NARISHIGE PC-100 vertical stretchers

Narishige’s PC-100 is a vertical drawing machine for the precise manufacture of glass micropipettes and microelectrodes, with tips ranging from 10 µm to 0.1 µm. The stretching process is gravity-operated, automatically in one or two steps, and parameters can be adjusted to obtain a variety of shapes and diameters. The digital display allows temperature and tension control, while the acrylic shroud protects the micropipettes from air movement during operation. The PC-100 replaces models PC-10, PP-830, PP-83 and PB-7, offering greater flexibility and functionality.

Features of the NARISHIGE PC-100 Vertical Stretcher

  • Manufacture micropipettes/microelectrodes with tips from 10 µm to 0.1 µm
  • Automated one- or two-stage gravity stretching
  • Adjustable parameters: temperature, number of feeders (1 to 4)
  • Configurable weights: uncoupled for light tension, coupled for heavier tension
  • Two pairs of weights (light and heavy) for precise adjustment of gravity force
  • Two Kanthal heating coils included
  • Sample glass capillaries with internal filament supplied
  • Digital display for precise heating and traction control
  • Acrylic shroud to protect against air movement

Applications

  • Electrophysiology
  • Biotechnology
  • Manufacture of micropipettes with multiple shapes and sizes
