S700 Microtome

The S700 rotary microtome from RWD Life Science is a semi-automatic paraffin-based device offering high-quality histological sectioning, combining precision, safety and exceptional ergonomics. It is designed to produce fine, regular and reproducible sections, even on delicate tissues such as the brain or embryos. Thanks to a side-mounted sample button and patented visual pointer, sample advancement and retraction are optimally precise. The double handwheel locking system, ejector and knife guard enhance user safety.

Features of the S700 Microtome

  • High-precision cutting via cross-roller bearings, German-quality spindle and five-phase stepper motor mounted on an aerospace aluminium block.
  • Patented visual positioning of the specimen with pointer, for extremely precise alignment and cutting.
  • Enhanced safety with double handwheel lock, blade ejector and blade guard.
  • 5-inch touchscreen with logs, position memory function, trouble-shooting and intuitive interface.
  • User-friendly, with ergonomic, military-grade side knob and easy-to-clean, anti-static waste bin.
