uMp-3 SENSAPEX motorised piezo micromanipulator
The uMp-3 SENSAPEX piezo micromanipulator is designed for patch-clamp applications, offering nanometric precision (5 nm) and exceptional stability thanks to zero-drift technology. Compact and easy to install (Plug & Play), it operates without electrical interference via battery and is controlled via PC-Ethernet using an open source SDK. Its three-axis travel range of 20 mm, high resolution and intuitive interface make it ideal for restricted environments and demanding experiments, with a 4-axis version available for in vivo applications.
Features of the uMp-3 SENSAPEX motorised piezo micromanipulator
- Easy to use – Plug & Play installation – Intuitive user interface
- Very high stability thanks to ZERO-DERIVATIVE piezo technology
- Very high accuracy and resolution thanks to closed-loop operation of each axis: 5 nm with a range of 20 mm.
- Ultra-compact for space-constrained applications
- No electrical interference during recording – battery operated
- Controllable via PC-Ethernet with open source SDK software
- Available in a 4-axis version for in vivo experiments (uMp-4) requiring an approach angle closer to vertical and a wider positioning range
The classic SENSAPEX micromanipulation system for patch clamps consists of :
- Touch-screen controller: uMp-TSC
- 3-axis controller: uMp-RW3
- Micromanipulator: uMp-3
- Stage adapter: uMp-DVT
- Earthing cable: uM-GND-1
