BX46 upright microscope – Evident-Olympus
The OLYMPUS BX 46 microscope is designed for routine laboratory and pathology work, to meet the needs of repetitive routine microscopy, with features to help you work comfortably. The colour rendering index of the LED is similar to that of a halogen bulb incorporating a daylight filter. Colours have the same appearance as when a conventional halogen lamp with a daylight filter is used, and similar colours can be differentiated. However, unlike a halogen light source, LEDs have an estimated lifespan of 20,000 hours.
Easy, ergonomic movement of the hand stage: The low-profile handles and low-torque stage allow the sample to be moved with a single finger movement, so you can keep your arms and hands in a comfortable position.
The OLYMPUS BX46 microscope can be used for polarised light observation by inserting an analyser in the objective turret. The standard mechanical stage can be replaced by a rotating stage to further improve the process.
Features of the BX46 upright microscope
- Customisable for brightfield, single polarised light observations
- Unrivalled ergonomic design: the ultra-low stage is very close to the work surface. You can rest your arms and hands on it. Your back and neck remain straight, respecting the natural curvature of your spine.
- The first head to be both inclinable and telescopic (height-adjustable)
- Polarised light observation by inserting an analyser in the lens turret (the standard mechanical stage can be replaced by a rotating stage)
- The low-torque stage with easy-grip XY controls reduces the force required to traverse a sample. Combined with the ultra-low stage, it should eliminate the need to lift your hand when observing a sample. The stage dimensions are 180 mm × 150 mm.
- Tilting condenser with a numerical aperture of 0.90 and a working distance of 2 mm
- Illumination with LED lamp, Köhler transmitted light illuminator
- Dust cover
