MM-3 NARISHIGE manual micromanipulator
The Narishige MM-3 Micromanipulator is a three-dimensional manual micromanipulator combining coarse and fine movements with exceptional stability and fluidity. Long favoured by pioneering users, it offers uniaxial fine motion parallel to the electrode for highly accurate microelectrode positioning, as well as a rack-and-pinion mechanism for fast, safe movements towards the sample. X- and Z-axis controls are suitable for both right- and left-handed operators, with tension adjustment to prevent any droop under dead weight; these features guarantee mechanical durability over decades of use.
Features of the MM-3 NARISHIGE manual micromanipulator
- Fine movement on the X axis (in the direction of the microelectrode): 7 mm travel for a complete rotation of the knob of 250 µm (minimum graduation: 10 µm)
- Coarse movements on X/Y/Z axes via rack and pinion: X 30 mm, Y 20 mm, Z 35 mm
- Handles on X and Z axes usable by right- and left-handed operators, with anti-fall tension adjustment
- Smooth, stable control surface, tried and tested over decades
- Standard accessories: H-13 electrode holder, clamp rod, Allen key
- Compatibility: GJ-8 magnetic rod holder (sold separately), possibility of integrating a hydraulic micromanipulator (MO-10 or MDO-84)
