3-axis micromanipulator + 1 diagonal axis MP-225

The MP-225 is a 3-axis micromanipulator with a virtual 4th diagonal axis designed as a cost-effective alternative to the MP-285, offering high stability, low drift and sub-micrometric resolution for in vivo and in vitro electrophysiological recordings, including patch and intracellular techniques. It features precise positioning of pipettes or microelectrodes with return to the initial or working position, display of 3-axis coordinates in micrometres, preamplifier/pipette/microelectrode mounting system and adapters included. The mechanics use a miniature stepper motor, anti-backlash gear head and preloaded ball-bearing slides to ensure smooth movement. The Rotary Optical Encoder (ROE) controls speed, resolution and the 4th diagonal axis with sixteen selectable angles. Two robotic movements, HOME and WORK, make it easy to quickly swap pipettes or reposition near the recording site. All controls are accessible from the ROE, freeing up workstation space while maintaining precise control.
