Piezo micromanipulator with 4th axis (physics)
Description of the uMp-4 piezo micromanipulator
The SENSAPEX uMp-4 piezoelectric micromanipulator is designed for in vivo applications and experiments requiring fine control in all four axes.
Benefiting from Zero-Drift™ technology, it offers exceptional drift-free stability, and its closed-loop control guarantees high-precision positioning.
Its compactness and modular design make it easy to install even in tight spaces, while maintaining excellent ergonomics for the user.
It can withstand heavy loads while maintaining high accuracy, making it ideal for advanced neuroscience protocols, including the insertion of probes or electrodes along complex trajectories.
The uMp-4 SENSAPEX 4-axis piezoelectric micromanipulator is particularly well suited to stereotaxy thanks to its 4th physical axis with vertical angle capability (approach angle from 0 to 90°) in addition to all the other features of the uMp-3 micromanipulator.
The uMp 4 micromanipulator enables :
- Probe insertion automatically in a single click at very slow speed
- Minimises tissue damage
- Saves a lot of time
