Piezo micromanipulator with virtual 4th axisuMp-4

The uMp-4 SENSAPEX micromanipulator is a 4-axis version of the uMp-3, offering sub-nanometric precision and exceptional stability thanks to ZERO-DERIVA piezo technology. It is particularly well suited to stereotactic experiments thanks to its 4th physical axis with a vertical approach angle of 0 to 90°. Probe insertion can be performed automatically with a single click at very slow speed, minimising tissue damage and optimising experimentation time. All the other features of the uMp-3 are retained, including control via PC-Ethernet, high resolution and compatibility with confined spaces.

Characteristics of the piezo micromanipulator with virtual 4th axisuMp-4

  • 4-axis piezoelectric micromanipulator
  • ZERO-DERIVA technology for maximum stability
  • High precision with 5 nm resolution
  • Positioning range: 20 x 20 x 20 (+20 for 4th axis) mm³ (XYZ+D)
  • Maximum speed: 5 mm/s
  • Maximum load: 0-150 g
  • Actual approach angle: 0-90
  • One-click automatic probe insertion at slow speed

Applications

  • Insertion de sondes longues ou denses (ex. Neuropixels) en in vivo.
