BX43 upright microscope – Evident-Olympus
- Customisable for brightfield, polarised light, phase contrast and fluorescence observations
- Y-shaped microscope stand for an even more ergonomic working position. During focusing, the operator keeps his arms and hands on the work surface.
- Ambidextrous stand construction
- Compact microscope frees up space for samples
- LED lighting to reveal natural colours (lighting equivalent to a 30W halogen lamp)
Features of the BX43 upright microscope
Light intensity manager: eliminates the need to adjust brightness when changing objectives ⇒ less tiring on the eyes and faster operation
If the BX 43 microscope is equipped with a camera, a button can be attached to the stand to trigger image capture during focusing.
Other features of the Olympus BX43 Microscope
The Olympus BX43 life science microscope offers both comfort and efficiency in use.
Key Features
- Flexibility
- Modularity
- Ergonomics
- Quality of UIS2 optics
- LED lighting
Possible observations and some examples:
- Brightfield, for all histological sections
- Phase contrast, to visualise astrocytes
- Fluorescence, for the diagnosis of tuberculosis using auramine staining
- Differential Interference Contrast (DIC), to observe mucosal cells
- Polarisation, for the detection of gout
The Olympus UIS2 optical system, with :
- PLN series: achromatic planes for cytology and the observation of specimens with histochemical stains
- UPLFLN series, (fluorite plane) for pathological screening, which sometimes requires a higher degree of achromatic correction
- PLNCY series: specially designed to change magnification without changing light intensity. Possibility of choosing magnifications from 2x to 20x with an integrated ND filter without changing the light intensity èa more convenient way of working in a clinical environment that saves precious time.
- UPLFLN series: spectral apochromatic planes: the ultimate microscope optics with exceptional spherical and chromatic aberration correction ensuring colour fidelity and excellent resolution.
Efficient LED lighting
Light-emitting diodes (LEDs), with mixed-matrix LED technologies, provide true colours and a rendering that is very comparable to that of a halogen lamp filtered in daylight.
LEDs emit the same colour temperature whatever the intensity of the light, require very little energy, have a longer life and are more environmentally friendly.
(The colour of halogen lamps, on the other hand, varies considerably with the input voltage).
Possibility of controlled light transmission (Light Intensity Manager: LIM)
The system works in conjunction with the light source transmitted by an OLYMPUS LED and an encoded lens turret, which automatically adjusts the intensity of the lighting to the levels preset by the User, for each lens è time saving and more efficient working.
Options and accessories
The microscope can be fitted with an ergonomic head (telescopic, tilting and lifting).
The microscope can be fitted with a wide-field condenser for magnifications from 2x to 100x without the need for a retractable front lens.
Modularity: You can build your own system, starting with a standard configuration, then upgrade it as required, for example by adding :
- Additional lenses,
- Imaging system
- Fluorescence
- 2-person or group observation systems
