Tissue slice anchoring grid HSG-ALA
ALA Scientific’s Harp Slice Grids™ (HSG) are professional grids for holding tissue slices (slices) under perfusion, preventing flutter or displacement during electrophysiology or imaging recordings.
They offer consistent results and free up time for experimentation rather than homemade assembly.
Features of HSG grilles
- Rigid glass-coated steel rings for mechanical strength and chemical compatibility
- Two types of mesh: silica fibre (~50-65 µm OD) or woven nylon mesh (~1 mm²)
- Wide choice of sizes and weights for different mountings and fabrics
- Packs of 5 identical units, ready to use

Applications
- Stabilisation of brain slices or tissues in submerged conditions during perfusion
- Electrophysiological tests (patch clamp, MEA) or imaging on ex vivo slices
- Maintain preparation without obstructing electrodes or pipettes
- Ideal for platforms combining intracellular recording and MEA
