OptoScan LED Fluorescence Illuminators – Cairn Research

The Cairn Research OptoScan monochromator is the heart of a high-performance stand-alone microphotometry system, particularly suited to real-time fluorescence measurements.
It is designed to provide fast, accurate and automated illumination control. Thanks to its ability to dynamically modulate the central wavelength and bandwidth, it optimises the signal at each stage of the imaging protocol.
Its modular architecture, compatible with current microscopes, makes it a versatile tool for biology and neurophysiology research laboratories.

Features of the OptoScan – Cairn Research

  • Sub-millisecond central wavelength control with microsecond accuracy
  • Dynamic spectral bandwidth control to optimise signal and intensity
  • Suitable for 75 W lamps
  • Modular design for stand-alone use in white light
  • Fibre optic/light guide coupling for all standard microscopes
  • External iris diaphragm for manual intensity adjustment
  • Integrated high-speed electronic shutter
  • USB, microprocessor, PCI, analogue and digital interfaces available
