Small volume imaging chambers RC-20, RC-20H WARNER

The Warner Instruments RC-20 and RC-20H recording chambers are very small volume, closed chambers designed for fluorescence, calcium and time-lapse imaging. Made from polycarbonate, they offer fast, linear solution exchange while maintaining a short working distance. The RC-20 is smaller and narrower with a volume of 48 µL, ensuring linear flow and very fast exchange, while the RC-20H has a larger viewing area and a volume of 90 µL. Each chamber uses two 15 mm round coverslips to form the bath, separated by 1 mm, with the top coverslip held in place by a ring. An access port compatible with Hamilton syringes allows substances to be injected or air bubbles to be eliminated, and the laminar flow minimises distortion of samples during perfusion.

Features of the WARNER RC-20, RC-20H small volume imaging chambers

  • Closed-bath polycarbonate chambers with short working distance.
  • RC-20: smaller and narrower, volume 48 µL, linear flow and very fast exchange.
  • RC-20H: larger viewing area, volume 90 µL.
  • Hamilton syringe compatible access port for injection or bubble removal.
  • Two 15 mm round coverslips (top and bottom) form the bath, separated by 1 mm, with top coverslip fixed by a ring.
  • Laminar flow to minimise sample distortion.
